I'm a new user of the cross-site lookup product. Works great. However, I need to customize some forms from a list using the cross-site lookup and I get an error from InfoPath saying the ArtfulBits.crosssitelookup data type is not supported. Is there a workaround to this?

Hi,

ArtfulBits Cross-Site Lookup Column supports native datatypes by converting it to standard SharePoint Lookup column.

To achieve this, please click 'Convert' button in 'Column Conversion' section of ArtfulBits Cross-Site Lookup Column settings.

For additional info please refer to:

Thank you Eugene. Is there a way to retain the lookup from a view when you convert? In my situation I have a lookup with several hundred locations and want to filter for only the ones in a certain area. I have a view for this and was using the artful lookup for this specific view. When I convert it shows all locations and disregards the view I selected.

No. Unfortunately, features like view dependent filtering will not work on down-convert.
