Is there are way to specify the number of gridlines visible on an axis? I'm trying setInterval on the scale and that's not doing it.

I'm evaluating this toolkit for purchase, and I have to say... the functionality is pretty good, but the documentation is absolutely horrible.

Hi,

Thank you for bug report. Actually, the method ChartAxis.getScale().setInterval should set interval, it just doesn't refresh the chart. Try to call ChartArea.refresh() method after that.

Hi,

Check new aiCharts release. That bug should be fixed.

I have similar question: How to limit count of labels on X-axis ?

I have a lot of points in the series.
When I draw all of them, x-axis labels are overlapping (it looks like one white rectangle)

Financial Demo shows that it is possible to have only a few labels on X axis. Bun I did not understand how to do it.
example: We have column chart.
we can see 11 vertical columns and following labels on X-axis
0 - 5 - 10
after zoom in we have 7 columns and following labels
2 - 4 - 6 - 8
zoom in again and see 3 columns and following labels
4 - 5 - 6

Please specify which labels options you use (LabelsMode.SeriesLabels or manual interval setting). Try disabling them. Please note: you will receive much faster support if you provide us with samples that demonstrate misbehavior (instead of screenshots).

curious, but at the same moment I understood how to do it, and intended to write appropriate comment here :)

Really, I set SeriesLabels as LabelsMode.
I got needed results, when I changed LabelsMode to RangeLabels. (seems, that is default options)
Code:
xAxis.setLabelsMode(ChartAxis.LabelsMode.RangeLabels);

But I still don't understand how to increase quantity of vertical (horizontal) gridlines ?

Hi,

Try to increase ChartAxis.getScale().setDesiredIntervalCount() value, then the chart tries to compute the specified number of intervals.
