Is there a way to display real-time charts vertically? (new points adding from the bottom)

I have four charts in the chart view and I want to save some space for more controls.
Thank you!

Hi,

Sorry for delay. Unfortunately I do not completely understood what is the problem. Do you want to place some view with chart? If so, please check that sample - Sample If not, please provide more details.

Best regards,

Best

I meant vertical graph orientation. Please check attached image.
First one is what I want to obtain, the second one is what I've got.
Thanks for advice

Hi,

There is several ways to do that :
- use only landscape mode for your application (recommended)
- Implement you own ChartView based on our ChartEngine. (Sample attached)

Hi!

Thank you for your support. CustomChartView worked for me.

Do you find it easier to create controls on flight (not using *.xml layout)?

Anyway, you are doing a great job! Thanks again!

Hi, Volodymyr!

Can you help me to add "panning" functionality to the CustomChartView? (setPanning(ChartView.PANNING_BOTH)) ?

CustomChartView extends View, and some functionality is missing.

Thank you!

Hi,

Unfortunately it's not so easy and requires changes in base library.
Is it so unnecessary to use rotated chart? Maybe it enough to use landscape mode with table-layout? Please, check following sample.

Thank you, Volodymyr,

I really need vertical charts and your CustomChartsView works fine.

I used:

scale.setZoom()
scale.setZoomPosition()

and this approach helped me to see the charts details.

Maybe rotation mode (chart orientation) can be added to next library release.

Good luck!
