We are looking at your BlackBerry Chart control. Does version 1.0 have drill-down / click-able items / hit testing?

What we are looking for is being able to click on a item, in a series, and get "drill-down" information by opening another chart with more focused information.

If 1.0 does not support this will version 1.5 have it? if so when would it be out?

Thanks!

Hi,

Yes, next version will support hit-testing for common chart types.
If you have a subscription, you may get access to a developer build right now.

Do you have a ballpark as to when this will be released? For Android I see interactive charts as an option. Would the BlackBerry version work similar to the Android version when released? Also, would the new version support BlackBerry OS 4.5 if we requested a custom build? So far my requirements are this:

1) BlackBerry OS 4.5
2) Interactive Charts
3) Live Reporting (is there a method that can update a series easily?).

Hi,

- we will try to release new version before march.
- aiCharts for BlackBerry will be similar to aiCharts for Android as much as possible.
- we provide two versions of aiCharts. One for BlackBerry 4.3 and higher, the another for BlackBerry 4.6 and higher.
NOTE : As far as I know BlackBerry supports touch-screens since version 4.7

Hi Baydalka,

I was wondering if there are any updates on this particular topic.

I am exploring the possibility of having Android and Blackberry releases. I wanted to know if there are limitations because of the difference of user interaction (obviously touch vs trackball).

Unfortunately, I'm just diving into Blackberry development, so I'm having trouble giving my manager straight answers whether there will be an ability to rotate the pie graph around.

Hi

We are looking for interactive chart components like as mentioned earlier by brian. Drill down details of the charts say pie chart if user select the specific slice of the pie it should redirect to another chart with the details.

Could u give info aicharts supports this feature.

Hi,

API to support drill-down feature will be available with next release (example - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mACHCmn7BfQ&feature=player_detailpage#t=398s). However if you have activated subscription, you may send request to got developer version right now.

Hi, we just purchased the libraries this week. We still did not get the new version 1.5. From browsing the forum it was going to be out before March and we still could not find it and down load link sent to us also points to 1.1.

Would appreciate if you can either send us the 1.5 libraries or where to find them.

Thanks,
Srini.
