Dear there,

I defined a column as Cascaded Lookup in a custom list in a site (in MOSS2007), then instead of using the standard "New Item/Edit item/Disply Item" page, I am trying to customize the layout.

What i did was open Sharepoint designer 2007,
- checkout the "NewForm.aspx",
- hide the exisitng "Preview of list form web part"
- "Insert" ->"Sharepoint Controls"->"Custom List Form".

However, there is no form loaded. Before that when all columns are standard sharepoint columns, there was no problem.

Can you please check it is because of trial license(at this moment, I am still trying with that with 25 days left)
Or it is a technical issue? Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for reporting the issue. Our analysis determined that this is a bug and we are in progress of fixing it.
The issue is not related to license type, so after the fix which will be available in 1-2 days you'll be able to check new version.

Thanks for using ArtfulBits components.

Thanks. I will test it next week.

And during the trial period, I have another finding:

By design, for IE6+, if the lookup items 20+, it will not show a dropdown on client side, but a input field. I tried Cascaded Lookup won't work if one of the parent column has more than 20 items with IE. it works fine with firefox since firefox did not "translate" sharepoint lookup into input even it has 20+ items.

Dear there, thanks for the effort.

- The issue with "lookup items 20+" works fine now.
- The issue with "using Custom List Form in sharepoint designer 2007 - no form loaded" Still not working. If you need more info from my side, please let me know.

Regards
Tao

Hello,

Can you make a screenshot of web-page altered by SharePoint Designer 2007? Also it would be good to obtain HTML page source.
Please send this diagnostic data to support@artfulbits.com

Thanks
