Hello,

I think I found a bug in ChartCandleStick. When the Open Value equals Close Value, the chart is drawing only the vertical line.

I think it should be drawing the horizontal line to mark the close value right?

Please see the attached image, the first candlestick have same Open and Close value (5200), hence it should draw a horizontal line at Y value=5200.

Is there any workaround? Thank you.

Hi,

Thank you for report. Try to setup border color - chartSeries.setBorderColor.

Best regards,

Hello,

Thank you for your quick response. I'm setting the border color, but the result is still the same.

Please see the attached image.

To produce the image, I've set :
Code:

series.setAttribute(ChartCandleStickType.PRICE_DOWN_COLOR, new Integer(Color.RED));

series.setAttribute(ChartCandleStickType.PRICE_UP_COLOR, new Integer(Color.ALICEBLUE));

series.setBorderColor(new Integer(Color.BROWN));

Thank you for your help.

Hi, Is there any possibility to get a fix or workaround for this problem?

The only thing i can think of is to add or subtract the Close Value with some number to force the chart to draw the horizontal line in the most minimal width. But it's quite difficult to calculate the right number (scaling calculation).

I think in candlestick chart it is very common to see Open Value = Close Value, so it's quite a major problem.

Oh, by the way, I'm running the paid version (com.artfulbits.aiCharts4_6.jar)

Thanks for your help
