Professional Calendar 1.0 Released

ArtfulBits has released another component for Microsoft SharePoint - Professional Calendar Web Part. It's a professional version of our Free Enchanced Calendar and next step of improving standard SharePoint Calendar functionality.

ArtfulBits Professional Calendar Web Part provides following key benefits: it allows combining events from different SharePoint Lists, from any SharePoint Site, in one Calendar view; allows specifying different color sets for different event sources; supports on-the-fly AJAX-enabled editing features in Outlook 2007 like style; and other enhanced functionalities.

Chirp 1.1 Beta Released

ArtfulBits released public new beta version of it's Betamax client Chirp for Windows Mobile. Among major features are history and improved contacts user experience and performance.

Chirp Beta can be downloaded from Chirp product page via direct HTTP link or using torrent magnet URI.

SharePoint Components 1.2 Released

Taken into consideration users' suggestions and remarks, ArtfulBits released new version of Image Upload and Discussion Column for SharePoint.

New SharePoint Components

ArtfulBits is proud to announce the release of the new components for Microsoft SharePoint - "Indicator Columns Pack".

Columns pack includes: KPI Column, Category Column and Progress Column.

KPI (Key Performance Indicator) Column is simple graphical scorecards that can be used to evaluate business data against business goals. With this column you reduce risk to overlook information about the status of value.

Category Column allows tracking, organizing and grouping list items. Outlook 2007 approach for elements categorization, easy indicator color changing and using of advanced tooltip, provide a high professional component style.

Progress Column provides users with the ability to make SharePoint lists more visualized by displaying numerical data on the page using percentage-based progress bar. Professional progress bar style will make your SharePoint list really modern and stylish.

ArtfulBits Against Piracy

ArtfulBits has published in last three days several services and applications that starts anti-piracy movement on Android field. Situation that we track inside Android vendors are hot enough: Google does not support anti-piracy, Google does not acting against pirates... So Android vendors should think about own way to fight with piracy.

For developers released public web service that opens access to the "Blacklisted" device IDs. By simple and small code integration developer can start fighting against pirates. Samples are available on our support forum and page specially designed for developers.

At first day more then ten software vendors joined us in this effort. Our number increasing fast and we are searching for a proper way of own investments protection. We already published petition to Google about current situation and request for better support of small and middle sized vendors. Petition was signed in first day by more than 40 people from all the world.

For end-user was published application that helps to check own device status. It's free and ready to use on all Android devices.

ArtfulBits Site Columns for Microsoft SharePoint Released

ArtfulBits has published couple components for Microsoft SharePoint.

We developed a set of SharePoint site columns that provide enhanced functionalities and features that are not supported by standard SharePoint columns.

Follow-Up Column enables due date flags similar to Outlook follow-up functionality. Applying flags to the list item allows adding visual reminder in a natural way.

Quick and simple way of uploading pictures. Image Upload Column provides ability to select a picture using file browsing dialog, upload and display it in the list view.

Need to organize well formatted conversation in the list item without enabling list versioning? Discussion Column is the right choice. Component allows entering rich text with formatting, images, tables, hyperlinks and other features.

Use Cross-Site Lookup Column Column to retrieve data from any site within the site collection. Component includes a powerful feature of searching over lookup list. This feature provides substring matching in selected column which is very useful for large lists (over 50-100 items).

Parent Selector Column is used to organize hierarchical relations in SharePoint list. Picker dialog allows choosing data from large lists. Standard Lookup column can be easily converted to Parent Selector column and vice versa.

aiCurrency 1.1 Released

ArtfulBits update aiCurrency application to 1.1 version. Fixed minor bugs and added Russian Language support.
